April 4 | 4-6pm | The Joseph Columbus
Join us at The Joseph Columbus during Short North Gallery Hop for an evening of art, architecture, and Columbus restaurant history.
Local artist, Fiona Miller, created the custom illustrations featured on the ‘Lost Cocktails of Columbus’ Soul spring cocktail menu, inspired by the historic restaurants and buildings that shaped the city’s dining scene. Known for her passion for architecture throughout her portfolio, Fiona often explores the visual details that shape these stories.
Originally from the UK and now based in Columbus, Fiona is an illustrator known for colorful, detail-rich scenes that blend hand-drawn ink and watercolor with digital elements. With a background in architecture and art history — including studies at Cambridge University and Oxford Brookes University — she specializes in illustrating maps, cityscapes and travel scenes as well as children’s picture books.
During this special event, she’ll share how her love of architecture and illustration come together, the inspiration behind the menu artwork, and the historic buildings that helped shape Columbus’ restaurant culture.
Guests can as view a selection of Fiona’s illustrations, watch her sketching, purchase limited prints and cards of her work, while enjoying one of the “Lost Cocktails of Columbus!”
